Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the game LocoMemo (mobile app and website). Clear, concise, and Apple-compliant.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the mobile app LocoMemo (iOS/Android) as well as the website LocoMemo.com and all functions offered thereon (e.g. seasons, challenges, mods, multiplayer).

2. Description of Services

LocoMemo is a puzzle memory game with dynamic effects (e.g. rotations, mirroring, shifts, shuffles) and seasonal content (“Seasons”).

3. Participation, Fair Play, Misuse

You may only use LocoMemo within the scope of its intended functions. In particular, the use of bots, manipulation, exploits, circumvention of security mechanisms, or disruption of other players is prohibited.

4. Virtual Currency, Digital Content

Coins, mods, achievements, and similar items are digital game content and have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be used outside the app or exchanged for money. There is no entitlement to a refund of virtual content unless mandatory statutory rights apply.

5. Seasons & Time-Limited Content

Seasons generally last 3 months. Certain content may only be available during the respective season (e.g. season streaks, season-exclusive mods, seasonal looks/features). At the end of a season, such content may expire or be reset. Permanent availability of individual season content is not guaranteed.

6. User Images (Photo Import) & Multiplayer Transmission

LocoMemo may allow you to use voluntarily selected images from your photo library to create game cards.

Selection is always made actively by you (“selected photos”). There is no unauthorized access to your media library.
In multiplayer mode, selected images may be transmitted to other players within a game session so that everyone sees the same game material.
You are responsible for ensuring that you only use images for which you hold the necessary rights and that do not infringe the rights of third parties.

Recommendation: If you do not wish to transmit images, use solo mode or select standard image packs.

7. Availability, Updates

We strive to ensure high availability. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may lead to temporary restrictions. We may modify or further develop features, particularly in the context of new seasons.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Liability for data loss is excluded unless caused by intent and unless you have failed to take reasonable backup measures (e.g. iCloud backup, where available).

9. Termination / Discontinuation

You may terminate use at any time by removing the app or deleting your account (if applicable). We may suspend accounts in cases of serious misuse.

10. Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
